What is Long Grain White Rice?

Rice with a length that is four to five times its width. It is widely used and the grains have a firm and dry texture. It has been milled to remove its outer husk and polished to eliminate any bran remnants, resulting in fewer nutrients than brown or red rice. When cooked, white rice stays fluffy and separates easily without excessive stickiness.
